What is LED?

LED stands for light-emitting diode, which is a semiconductor light source. Electrons pass through the circuit, and where holes exist within a device, electrons releases energy in the form of photos to generate light.

Why switch to LED lighting?

There are many reasons for switching to LED lighting; due to the fact that LEDs convert more energy into light than traditional lighting, less energy is wasted in the process. And because of how an LED is made, LEDs are environmentally friendly, with no heavy metals or poisons, and is 100% recyclable. When it comes down to it, switching to LED will save you money, help the environment, and colors will actually look better.

Is LED lighting expensive?

Like all technology, when it is first introduced to the consumer market, the initial costs are higher, but the savings LED provides in a year will actually cover the cost of it, so it's very affordable. Not only will you see the immediate savings on your utility bills, in the long run, because LEDs last much longer, there is also less maintenance and replacement cost.
